Apple Inc. is set to deepen its presence in India with the launch of four new retail stores later this year, CEO Tim Cook has confirmed. The new locations will be established in Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, and the Delhi-NCR region, reinforcing Apple’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.

The expansion is expected to generate around 400 new job opportunities, further boosting Apple’s retail footprint in a country where demand for premium smartphones and technology is steadily climbing. This move comes after a record-breaking year for Apple in India, with the company achieving its highest-ever quarterly revenue in the country during the last fiscal year.

“We are incredibly proud of the response we’ve received in India and can’t wait to bring the Apple Store experience to even more cities,” said Cook during a recent statement.

India has emerged as a strategic market for Apple—not only from a consumer standpoint but also as a manufacturing base. In fiscal year 2024, Apple assembled iPhones worth $14 billion in India, doubling its output from the previous year. Exports also surged past $10 billion, showcasing the country’s growing importance in Apple’s global supply chain.

Apple’s current stores in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex and Delhi’s Saket have seen remarkable success, reportedly generating approximately ₹800 crore in combined revenue within their first year. The addition of four more stores signals Apple’s intention to build on this momentum.

Moreover, Apple has announced plans to manufacture 25% of its iPhones in India over the coming years—part of a broader strategy to diversify its production outside of China.

With rising iPhone sales, increasing local production, and now a more extensive retail network, Apple appears poised to cement its position in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital economies.
