Recently, the Delhi government launched a scheme with the objective of providing financial benefits to women in Delhi, known as the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana. Under this scheme, the Delhi government provides ₹1000 monthly support to women, but now it’s moved to ₹2100 monthly.

Mr. Kejriwal recent Statements
On 12 December 2024, the Aam Aadmi party leader, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, announced the unveiling of the Delhi government’s Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana. He also stated that the amount for the monthly stipend to women above the age of 18 has been raised from ₹1,000 to ₹2,100. It will transfer to the citizen accounts when AAP wins again in the election.
Mr. Kejriwal stated that the registration may begin on Friday ( 13 December 2024 ).
Eligibility Criteria
This initiative is mainly aimed at women of 18 to 60 years of age who are not being supported financially in other ways recognized by the government.
Residence: A valid voter ID card only for women and girls who are living in Delhi only.
Age: Must be 18 years and above as of the date December 12, 2024.
Exclusions:
women of any age who are currently or earlier permanently employed in the government sector.
Female politicians are women who have been elected or have served in the parliament, state legislative assembly as an MLA, or town or city council as a councilor.
Persons receiving income during the last assessment period.
Persons either receiving pensions as per the current existing Delhi government pensions such as old age pensions widow pensions or disability pensions.

Self-Declaration: Applicants need to submit an affidavit verifying their eligibility.
Registration Process : door-to-door
This registration for this scheme will therefore be done house-to-house since all these women are qualified to be registered.
Here are the key steps:
Door-to-door Registration: It is reported that AAP members will go door-to-door to households in Delhi to help with registration. It dispenses with the need for beneficiaries to be standing in queues.
Community Centers: To address this concern, the government will establish registration centers within the various local areas where the women are residents and will take their photographs and submit the completed forms there and then.
MLA offices: Women can also go to their respective MLA offices for registration.
Card Issuance: Beneficiaries upon enrollment will receive an identification card indicating their category in the scheme.
Verification and Approval
After registration of the nominees, the government will undertake a screening process through which actual nominations will be conducted to check on the validity of the nominees. It is important to distinguish that only legal candidates will be granted a right to take a possibility to receive the monetary benefits.
The funds, when disbursed, will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts by remitting.
