Summary

The zombie drama is called “All of Us Are Dead,” and the fans were excited to enjoy the show full of an interesting story and meaningful characters. The last season was interesting enough, and more people look forward to watching the second season of the show. It feels like a long wait, but it proves to what extent people can love a show.

Here you will get the information about the release date and cast member.

Confirmation of Season 2

The excitement for another series started when Netflix Korea recently announced the season 2 renewal of “All of Us Are Dead." The announcement came with a season-two poster and a video on Netflix Korea’s Instagram, featuring the caption, "Can we survive again?

“The second story of the students of Hyosan High School’s earnest zombie survival time starts.” Such a teaser was enough to spark fans’ interest and increase anticipation and talk-ability of the topic even more.

Production Delays

In January, the fans were given another confirmation when the agency that represents Park Ji-hu (On-jo), BH Entertainment, announced the actress as their 2024 line-up. But the following reports have created doubt on the quick follow-through of the series. According to the South Korean outlet Star News, the show’s producers are still yet to resume filming on season 2 and might not start until 2025.

As per these reports, Netflix delayed the series to get a better production environment and a higher level of completion. That indicates the streaming giant will do its best to provide the viewers with a polished and high-quality season.

Nevertheless, Netflix has not reacted to these rumors and has not provided any explanation of the shows’ postponement to the fans.

Expected  release date

If the filming starts as early as in the first quarter of 2025, then they will have to wait till the last quarter of 2025 or the first quarter of 2026 to see the second season.

Considering that this series is large-scale, production takes months of shooting only and post-production includes such phases as visual effects and editing. Of course fans may have to wait longer; however, it is evident that not only Netflix but the production team also aim for a sequel that is even better for season 1.

Returning Cast Members

Certainly one of the most fascinating queries about season 2 is the one cast. Since hello, there is a complete show based on zombies, and you know, on average, zombies are not too friendly, more like killing machines; therefore, not many actors (characters) were able to live through the zombies.

However, fans can expect to see some familiar faces:

  • Park Ji-hu (On-jo)
  • Park Solomon (Su-hyeok)
  • Im Jae-hyuk (Dae-su)
  • Ha Seung-ri (Ha-ri)
  • Lee Eun-saem (Mi-jin)
  • Kim Bo-yoon (Hyo-ryung)

Exciting Updates for Season 2

Oddly enough, Yoon Chan-young will be back as Cheong-san, who appeared to die in the eleventh episode. As for how he re-emerges still even today remains a question; maybe it will be in flashbacks or he will wake up from a comb películlos matriz Regarding his work, Yoon Chan-young said, “There are no more plans and nothing has been discussed yet.” Personally, I ‘d like to live and speak out for myself things that I could not say before.

Another confirmed return is that Cho Yi-hyun will reprise her role as Choi Nam-ra, ‘the zombie’ who remains a part human zombie.

Nam-ra’s arc, her coming to terms with her powers and human emotions or the lack of them, will surely be a major aspect of the next season.

What to Expect in Season 2

The last of the Korean military blew up Hyosan City to contain the zombie threat in the first season. Some people managed to escape from the TVN building; however, their fate of Nam-ra, Cheong-san, etc. is unknown.

Synopsis: Director Lee Jae-kyoo Teased More Powerful and Evolved Zombies and focusing on destroyed Seoul.

As a result of the strong likelihood that it will take several years between the release of season 1 in 2022 and the production of subsequent seasons, there will probably be a time leap at some point.

Evolution from the Webtoon

Currently, “All of Us Are Dead” is adapted from Joo Dong-geun’s webtoon with the same title, but the scenes shown in the series look rather different compared to the original webtoon. In an interview, Director Lee Jae-kyoo said that certain characters as well as some story lines were altered to make a show more realistic and less brutal for the masses.

It appears that such a trend will be carried to season 2, and the person who is to become the showrunner of the series should add new plots, which are not characteristic of the webtoon.

Why is All of Us Are Dead 18+?

Parents should know that All of Us Are Dead is a Korean action-horror series about a high school overrun by zombies.

Is there a trailer yet?

So sad to say, there isn’t any trailer for season 2 yet. Trailers are usually released after production is complete and due to that, fans might have to wait until late 2025 for a first look at the next season. For now, you could watch the season 1 trailer or try watching the series again if you need your zombie drama fix.
